According to unofficial data, the Organization of American States voted for the abolition of the decision which was made in 1962 the exclusion of Cuba from the organization.
According to sources in the OAS, the return of Cuba to the Organization shall be marked by democratic reform on the island.
It is not yet clear whether made any conditions Cuba. Earlier, U.S. representatives said that to restore the membership of Cuba, they need to be returned to the path of democratic reforms.
Cuba, for its part, stated that they does not want membership in the OAS, as well as the organization considers only the instrument in the hands of the United States.
Note that Cuba – the only country in the Western Hemisphere, which is not part of the OAS.
