36 y.o. Japanese man attempted to commit seppuku (ritual suicide) in front of the parliament.
A man whose name is not called, survived and was hospitalized. His condition is not reported. “We are trying to find out the motives of his act,” – said the representative of the police.
According to some reports, the man is a member of one of the nationalist factions.
In March of 2008, at the parliament building of Japan was a similar incident. Back to then, the 60-year-old man arrived by taxi to the building, went out of the car and shot himself. It was assumed, that he also was an active member of a right group. Suicide left two letters, from which it was clear, that the reason for his action was a desire to draw attention to the foreign policy of Japan.
