firefighterMore than five hundred people evacuated from the area of a forest fire in eastern Spain,referring to local authorities. Firefighters managed to cope with the fire at the evening of Sunday, July 26, but on Monday morning, it  broke out with renewed vigor.

The fire covered more than 500 hectares in the area of Las Urdes, in the autonomous community of Extremadura. In an official statement of Extremadura regional government explained, that the re-fire was possible because of high wind speed.

In other parts of Spain, a firefighters successfully fought the fire, but on Monday increased security measures, in 24 provinces of the country. Considered particularly high risk of fire in the south, in Andalusia, where was projected 40-degree temperature.

Over the past week wildfires burned more than 20 thousand hectares, destroyed dozens of homes and led to the deaths of six firefighters. The greatest destruction caused by the fire in the north-east, in Aragon, where burned area was up to 11.7 thousand hectares. Also suffered from forest fires other Mediterranean countries such as – France, Greece and Italy.
