unemploymentIn the U.S., the number of initial claims for unemployment benefits in the week, that ended on July 4, 2009, compared with the previous week fell by 52 thousands and became 565 thousands, such data were presented in the report of the Ministry of Labor United States. Analysts had expected, that this figure will be 610 thousand.

During the week, which ended June 27, 2009, the number of initial claims for unemployment benefits was on revised data, 617 thousands.

The average number of initial claims for unemployment benefits in the United States for four weeks (on July 4, 2009.) Amounted to 606 thousand, decreased by 10 thousand compared with the rate for the previous four-week period, fixed at 616 thousands.
