Electronic ID card in our time is not a surprise. However, the company Samsung has decided to try to make something new, and presented its concept of e-passports.
Electronic passports in the interpretation of Samsung – is a laminated ID card, where close to a stationary photo, posted flexible 2-inch display. This display has a resolution of QVGA, 10000:1 contrast, displays 260 thousand colors and consumes so little energy, that its battery gets power when you to bring the card to the RFID-crawler. Typically, the display remains blank, but on the approach to the reader, it is activated and displays a 360-degree review of the card holder’s head.
The developers contend the concept, that such an identity card will be much harder to forge than a normal passport. Unfortunately, so far unknown, when the concept will be (and would or not in general) a real passport.
