In Tehran, an explosion occurred near the tomb of Ayatollah Khomeini

Iranian OppositionIn Tehran, detected clashes between police and supporters of the Iranian opposition, near the mausoleum of Islamic Revolution leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini, an explosion occurred.

According to local media, one person was killed and two wounded. Prior to this, police used tear gas, water cannons and batons to disperse opposition demonstration in Tehran, transmits radio “Freedom”.

Opposition calls for review adulterated, in their view, the outcome of the presidential election in which, according to official figures, won the former head of state Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Prior to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, demanded an end to the demonstration, saying that the elections were fair. Western countries have expressed concern about what is going on in Iran.

June 12, 2009. Iran held its presidential election in which the victory with a great superiority won the incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He won 62.6% of the votes, almost twice as much as his chief rival – former prime minister Mir-Hossein Moussavi, who did not recognize the election results and accused the authorities of countries in their fraud.
