The President of the U.S. Barack Obama found a democratic spirit in Africa

barack obamaU.S. President Barack Obama, praised Ghana for the democratic spirit. With this topic, head of the White House, asked the Parliament of the African country.

In particular, B. Obama reported, that in Ghana, he see “choice of the rule of the constitution of the autocracy and democratic spirit, which gives free access of people’s energy.”

U.S. President stressed, that America is not going to impose on African countries to their own values, but will always help the democratic forces of the Black continent.

B. Obama told also about the problems of Africa. Thus, the genocide in Darfur and terrorism in Somalia, he called the “global security challenges, that require a global response”. The American leader said, that “the United States stand ready to assist in addressing these problems through diplomacy, technical assistance and organizational support. ”

B. Obama stressed, that the African Command of the U.S. armed forces (AFRICOM) “focuses, not to create a base for their operations on the continent, but to confront common threats.”

In Ghana, President of United States completes his international tour, during which he visited Russia and took part in the G8 summit at Italy. This is the first visit of B. Obama to Africa on the actual problems of the Black Continent (in early June of this year, the American leader traveled to Egypt in the context of the Middle East issues).
