China asks about discussion, to establish a new world currency at G8 summit

G8The Chinese side wishes to see in the upcoming summit of next week “Big Eight” (G8) the discussions on the proposal to establish a new world reserve currency reported sources in the G8.

According the information, China outlined this position in the preparation of the agenda of the Group of 14, which includes the Group of Eight, Group of Five – Brazil, India, China, Mexico and South Africa – as well as Egypt.

Reported, that China is also making reference to the new world reserve currency in the final document of the summit G8.

Recall, previously head of the Central Bank of China proposed to strengthen the role of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the global financial system and give them produced by the Special Drawing Right of the world reserve currency.
