Colombian authorities confirmed the second death from influenza A H1N1 in the country. The victim of the disease was 28-year-old resident of the capital – Bogota – whose name is not disclosed. According to the Director of the Colombian National Institute of Health Juan Gonzalo Lopez, the disease is extremely fast, on June 18, he felt ill and on the next day came to see a doctor, and on 20 June he died in hospital of a sharp aggravation of the disease.
At this time in Colombia confirmed, 68 confirmed cases of infection with influenza A H1N1, the number of cases is growing rapidly.
