The first case of infection with influenza A recorded in Bulgaria

swine-fluThe first case of infection with A (H1N1), known as “pig flu”, registered in Bulgaria. According to the medics, the analysis confirmed the presence of the virus among men who had recently returned from the United States.

The patient was hospitalized, his condition is assessed as “good”, transmits Associated Press.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of cases of infection with “pig flu” more than 15,5 thousand of the world, while on the dangerous disease died, about 100 people.

According to the WHO on May 29, 2009., 53 countries around the world has more than 15.5 thousand cases of “pork influenza in humans. 99 died from the virus, of whom 85 – in Mexico, and 11  – in the United States.
