Study of women’s preferences in selecting the passion the opposite sex engaged the team of scientists from the University of Aberdeen. The study brought together 449 women, which showed specially selected photos of various men.
Of the images were pictures of people with courageous appearance and, on the contrary, holders of the soft, feminine features. Of all the photographs shown to women, they were asked to choose the men with whom they would willingly took a serious relationship.
At the surprise of scientists, nearly 2 / 3 of women selected for potential long-term relationship of those whose appearance was the most feminine. At the same time, a man whose appearance was associated with classic standards of a strong sex appeal, remained ignored the beautiful half of humanity.
“Women are perceived as feminine men of honest, good people, and often as good fathers. Therefore, they opt for long-term relationships of those who look the least courageous,” – concluded the head of research B. Jones.
