Stylish shoes are outside of the lawTap studs on the tiles in the corridor of the bank and wiggle gait of secretaries can drop into oblivion for the residents of the UK, which are ready to ban the wearing high heels in the office.

Scandalous proposal to ban women working in the office, to wear high heels, was done by members of Congress of Trade Unions of the country, spoke with great criticism of favorite female “arms”. According to members of Congress (mostly representatives of a strong gender), high heels are disturbing and threatening the health and safety of staff or, more precisely women staff.

According to the authors of the proposal, women staff member of British institutions for their own “good” need to opt for heels no higher than 2.5 centimeters. Such friendly shoes should help to avoid unnecessary injuries, callouses, etc. The idea of low-heels will be discussed at the annual conference on the next month. There representatives of the Congress of Trade Unions would try to prove, that excessive footwear is appropriate only for the stage and Hollywood films.

However, it is unlikely that such a position would cause an understanding outside the Congress itself. Discussion of “High Flight” employees came to the government. There, proposed initiative led, to put it mildly, puzzling. “I am, with  my height of 155 cm, needed every inch of my heel’s, to look into the eyes of fellow-men. If, in Westminster Abbey, there was a ban, none would be able to find me” – noted with irony member of parliament – Nadine Dorris.

The fact, that the heeled shoes is an important part in the lives of women, no one need the reminding. According to opinion of the business ladies, more than a few centimeters not only help to preserve the working spirit, and to inspire confidence. However, how many victims fell prostrate in front of slender female legs, despite the work environment, we are silent. And yet raised the issue seems rather amusing, the British government now having much more problems more important than women’s shoes. It remains to monitor developments and wonder where it could come.
