Youth In Revolt – Trailer

Youth In Revolt - Trailer

The Weinstein Company has debuted the first trailer for Michael Cera’s Youth in Revolt today on AOL. The movie is about a teenage kid who falls in a love with a girl he can’t have but decides to go to lengths to win over her heart. I was going to complain about how tired I am of seeing Michael Cera act the same damn way in every movie, but thought otherwise after he introduces his “supplementary persona named Francois Dillinger.” I’m probably going to get some flack for this, but I love that character. It looks like Cera really can act and that other persona just looks hilarious. I was actually laughing out loud during this.

Youth in Revolt is directed by Puerto Rican filmmaker Miguel Arteta, of Star Maps, Chuck & Buck, and The Good Girl previously, as well as various episodes of some TV shows. The screenplay was written by Gustin Nash, of the teenage drama Charlie Bartlett previously. This is based on the book of the same name by C.D. Payne. The Weinstein Company is bringing Youth in Revolt to theaters starting on October 30th this fall.
