Whoa, I did not see this coming! The trailer for F. Gary Gray’s Law Abiding Citizen starring Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx has debuted on Entertainment Tonight (via GerardButler.net). Normally they re-edit and screw up the trailer, but this time they have a clean embed of the trailer, even though it’s a lot smaller than I’d like it. This is another one of those revenge stories, but you just wait, it starts to get a bit interesting part of the way through. I don’t know why, but I wasn’t expecting anything special – boy was I wrong! This looks awesome, I can’t wait to see how it plays out and what the heck is even going on!
An everyday guy (Gerard Butler) decides to take justice into his own hands after a plea bargain sets his family’s killers free. His target: The district attorney (Jamie Foxx) who orchestrated the entire deal.
Law Abiding Citizen is directed by New York filmmaker F. Gary Gray, of Friday, Set It Off, The Negotiator, A Man Apart, The Italian Job, and Be Cool previously. The screenplay was written by fellow filmmaker Kurt Wimmer, who wrote Sphere, The Thomas Crown Affair, Equilibrium, The Recruit, and Street Kings most recently. Overture Films is bringing Law Abiding Citizen to theaters everywhere on October 16th this fall.
