internet1The crisis struck at the world’s largest Internet advertising market – in the United States.

According to Interactive Advertising Bureau and experts of PricewaterhouseCoopers, in the first quarter of 2009, revenues from online advertising reached 5.5 billion dollars, an increase of 5% less than the equivalent figure last year. Analysts note, that this is the first decline in the market after six years of steady growth.

Nevertheless, the market for virtual advertising, compared with other industries is not bad. Economic conditions hit on all areas of business. However, because of the relatively low price, online advertising in the United States remains popular. Its share in the advertising market in general is growing, say experts. They predicted, that the advertising market in the world wide web in the end of the year amounted to $ 24.5 billion.
